Jared & Sarah

Let me start out by saying this:  I am going to try to be a good blogger this year.  Yes, I know, I've said that before...  I tend to get caught up in processing and completely forget to blog until I'm done with one project and working on the next.  But, I'm changing the way I go about doing a few things in hopes that I will remember to blog more this year.  No promises, but I will try.  Feel free to bug me if I forget. :-)

On to the good stuff...

I LOVED this session!  Loved, loved, loved.  Jared & Sarah are getting married this June and are two of the sweetest, most laid-back people I may ever meet.  They made my job wonderfully easy and lots of fun.  We had to reschedule this session due to rain, so we shot these on the morning of Christmas Eve.  Since I wasn't working during Christmas (outside of the shoot itself), they've had to wait a bit longer for photos.  Jared & Sarah - here's a preview to hold you over.  I hope to have the rest to you soon!

Not the usual blog entry

Well, if I were a better blogger and there was such a thing as a "usual blog entry", this would not be it.

I had the privilege of shooting Neils' and Marrissa's beautiful wedding in October, gave the beautiful couple their DVDs, was happy with the photos, then found out that the images they were seeing were seriously flawed. Yikes! My darn computer had an error while writing their discs. Sooo, while they're waiting for the new discs to arrive in their mailbox, I'm posting a small preview here and putting a gallery up on a photo hosting site.

Engagement session: Jeff & Christine

This Saturday, I had the pleasure of shooting an engagement session with Jeff & Christine. They are getting married in January and are about the cutest couple you could ever meet. I had a great time on Saturday and can't wait until the wedding!

Here are a few of my favorites from our session. There are a lot more "conventional" shots, but these are some of my faves. :-)

On this cold, rainy day, we're going to kick off a bright fun contest! The winner of this contest will receive their choice of two prizes. Prize #1 - A free photo session with one 12x18 print and 5 of their favorite digital files ($200 value), or Prize #2 - $200 off any wedding package! All you have to do to enter is be a fan of the Facebook page (see link on the side of the page) and leave a comment on any photo or wall post on the Looking Glass Photography fan page, then post back here to let me know the location of your comment. How easy is that?! For extra entries, twitter or blog about the contest and leave a comment on the Facebook page or here with a link to your twitter or blog address. The contest will be open until Sunday March 7th, with the winner announcement on Monday, March 8th. Good luck!

Sidenote: Upon looking at my not-so-well-kept blog, I've come to the realization that the "winter update" never happened. :-) Soooo, look for that in the next few days!

Wedding: Anthony & Jill (part 1)

I couldn't decide on my favorites from this wedding, so I finally just picked a few to put on the blog. I expect at least one more blog post soon...

I was honored to be able to shoot Jillian & Anthony's wedding a few weeks ago. I've known Jill since... well, I can't remember a time that I haven't know Jill. Let's just put it that way. :-) When she asked if I would be her photographer, I was thrilled! It was a beautiful day for two awesome people. Thank you both for letting me be a part of it. I hope you're enjoying the East Coast! More photos are on their way.
